Power Point Exporter (PPt Exporter) Description

The PowerPoint Exporter in Marmind is a feature that allows users to export content from marketing objects (such as campaigns or projects) directly into a Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx) file using predefined templates.

This functionality supports both standard and custom fields of the selected object. What makes it especially powerful is the use of Mindscript expressions embedded within the PowerPoint file’s comment fields. These expressions define what content from Marmind should be placed where in the presentation. For example, inserting %= Name into a comment will populate the object’s name into that position in the exported presentation.

How the PPt Exporter works

Step 1: Create and save your PowerPoint Template

Before exporting, you need a .pptx template with fields defined via Mindscript.

  • Insert placeholder comments in PowerPoint where you want the data to appear.

  • Use the syntax: %=TechnicalFieldName, e.g. %=Name, %=DurationFrom:dd.MM.yyyy

  • Supported in PowerPoint comment fields.

Step 2: Open a Campaign or Project

Navigate to the campaign or project whose data you want to export.

Step 3: Start the Export

Click on the three-dot menu next to the object in the tree, or open the object and go to "Next Steps" → "Export content with template".

Step 4: Select a Template and download

You will be prompted to select a .pptx template. This template must contain Mindscript expressions in the comment fields (see step 1). Download your finished Power Point File.

Supported Fields

Standard fields like Name, ResponsiblePerson, and ProjectType are supported. The technical names are case-insensitive and listed in the documentation. Custom fields are also supported – check their technical names in Marmind under Administration → Benutzerdefinierte Felder.
